Christ the King's Oktoberfest is an annual event held in mid to late September at Christ the King School in Lexington, Kentucky. The Event attracts approximately 15,000 attendees over the weekend and requires the coordination of over 1000 volunteers.

We developed a custom web application for the festival that allows committee chairs to coordinate all their requirements while allowing volunteers to register and choose from the volunteer opportunities. The site boasts a database back-end plus integration with Russell Consultants' Asterisk PBX. This allows users to activate their account via an email link or by calling an extension at Russell Consultants from the phone number provided during registration.

Volunteers receive email confirmation of each shift as well as a followup reminder before their shift. Additionally, users can receive automated voice reminders directly from the Asterisk system prior to their shifts.
